Start with the formula and intended dose
A serum bottle should be selected around the product rather than appearance alone. Record the formula type, approximate viscosity, sensitivity to light, intended use area and expected amount per application. These inputs help determine whether a treatment pump, lotion pump, dropper or another dispensing direction should be evaluated.
Compare capacity, neck and internal geometry
Capacity affects shelf presence, shipping weight and the component proportions. The neck finish must match the selected dispensing system, while the internal shoulder and base geometry affect tube or pipette length. Confirm dimensions from the actual product sheet and approved sample rather than relying only on a reference image.
Define the finish as a functional and visual decision
Clear glass displays the formula and gives a clean appearance. An opaque coating or coloured finish can create a different brand direction and may reduce visible light reaching the product, but formula protection must be confirmed through the brand's own compatibility and stability work. Colour, gloss, coverage and decoration should be approved on the final bottle structure.
Approve the complete pack
Review the bottle, component, gasket or liner, decoration and packing together. A sample approval record should identify the bottle, component, colour reference, artwork position and any agreed functional checks. This becomes the practical reference for mass production.
